Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. If more than one postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest known usage.

Other Information

USS TILLAMOOK earned the World War I Victory Medal (with Atlantic Fleet clasp), the American Defense Medal (with Fleet clasp), the American Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal during her Naval career.


NAMESAKE - A Native American tribe from Oregon of the Salish linguistic group. The name "Tillamook" is a Chinook term meaning "people of Nekelim (or Nehalem)".
