Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. "Figure S-75 is a standard Type 5hks cancel for the Submarine Detachment at Pearl Harbor; the mail clerk used wording similar to that shown for several boats there. The exact
arrangements of wording in the killer bars varies. The use of a ship's name in the killers technically would make this a Type P postmark if it had actually been used aboard the boat.
Both cancels (S-74 & S-75) indicate the submarine division to which the boat was attached, noted as "Sub Div" in the listings. For convenience, these postmarks are listed under the
boats in question. Both markings are very elusive." From the Paul Huber collection.
