US Marine Corps Air Station El Centro CA, located approximately six miles northwest of El Centro, Imperial County, CA was established in the early 1940's. The air station was commissioned on 1 May 1946, as a Naval Air Station. It is currently the Naval Air Facility El Centro, CA.
