U.S. Naval Convalescent Hospital Yosemite National Park, California
The Ahwahnee Hotel's Grand Lounge in Yosemite Valley was formally dedicated on 14 July 1927. In 1943, the Navy leased The Ahwahnee for the purpose of creating a wartime hospital with the first staff arriving at the end of May to begin refitting. The “U.S. Naval Convalescent Hospital Yosemite National Park, California” was commissioned on 25 June 1943. Eleven days later, the first patients arrived. The hospital was decommissioned in December 1945 and the property went back to the care of the National Park Service.

Cachets should be listed in chronological order based on earliest known usage. Use the postmark date or best guess. This applies to add-on cachets as well.
