Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner). Other Information

NAMESAKE - Named for the city of Omaha, Nebraska.

Four ships of the US Navy have borne the name OMAHA - USS Omaha (1869 Screw Sloop), USS Omaha CL-4, USS Omaha SSN-692 and USS Omaha LCS-12.

The ship was sponsored by Mrs. Victoria Hruska, wife of Roman Lee Hruska, a Republican U.S. Senator from the state of Nebraska.
