Six ships of the US Navy have borne the name MONTEREY - USS Monterey (Screw Tug 1862), USS Monterey BM-6, USS Monterey CVL-26, USS Monterey CG-61, (USAT) Monterey (Troop Transport 1941-Matson Lines) and (USAT) Monterey (Troop Transport 1942-New York & Cuba Mail Steamship Company).
