    Struck from the Naval Register 27 June 1975
    Donated as Museum Ship at Patriot's Point, Charleston, SC 11 May 1981.
    On 10 January 2017 the Palm Beach County Commissioners voted unanimously to
        approve funds for the vessel to be sunk as an artificial reef.

Naval Covers

There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner). Postmarks

USS CLAMAGORE earned seven Battle "E" awards during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A blue parrot-fish found in the West Indies and Chesapeake Bay.

The ships sponsor was Miss Mary Jane Jacobs, daughter of Vice Admiral Randall Jacobs, USN, Chief of Naval Personnel.
