USS LENAWEE earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 2 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (with Asia clasp), the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal w/ 3 Battle stars, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 Campaign star, the Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantry Ribbon, the United Nations Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A county in southern Michigan.
