Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. USS YOSEMITE earned a Secretary of the Navy Letter of Commendation (2 awards), the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon (2 awards), the Navy Battle "E" Ribbon (6 awards), the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (with Asia clasp), the National Defense Service Medal (3 awards), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Philippines Liberation Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait) during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A valley in east central California on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains. It is now the site of Yosemite National Park.
