Other Information

USS TUSCARORA earned the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the National Defense Service Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A mountain range in south-central Pennsylvania. The name, Iroquois in derivation, means "hemp gatherers."

Two ships of the US Navy have borne the TUSCARORA - USS Tuscarora (1861 Screw Sloop) and USS Tuscarora ATA-245.
