NAMESAKE - Born in Chicago, IL, Alexander Agnew McCormick was the son of Chicago Evening Post editor and Chicago city alderman Alexander A. McCormick (better known as "A. A. McCormick") and his wife Maude Warner. He attended the University of Chicago High School, and entered Yale University with the Class of 1919.
