USS MOBJACK earned the Combat Action Ribbon, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 3 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal and the Philippines Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A bay on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay between the York River on the south and the Rappahannock River on the north

The ships sponsor was Mrs. H. R. Peck.
