This section lists the names and designations that the ship had during its lifetime. The list is in chronological order.

Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner). Covers should be presented in chronological order (or as best as can be determined).

USS BISMARCK SEA earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 3 Battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon and the Philippine Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Alikula Bay - An estuary east of Egg Harbor, on the NW coast of Coronation Island, Alexander Archipelago, Alaska.

NAMESAKE - Bismark Sea - A section of the southwest Pacific Ocean northeast of New Guinea and northwest of New Britain. During World War II it was the site of a major naval battle (March 2–3, 1943) in which the Japanese fleet was completely destroyed.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Mon C. Wallgren.
