This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. Other Information
USS AUCILLA earned the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 1 silver battle stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (with Asia clasp), the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with 2 bronze stars during her Naval career.
NAMESAKE - Named for a river in northern Florida. It flows south from southern Georgia into Apalachee Bay on the Gulf of Mexico southeast of Tallahassee.
The ships sponsor was Mrs. Hope Ridings Miller.
