image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

Earned Presidential Unit Citation
NAMESAKE - Major Edward Ball Cole, USMC (September 23 1879 - June 18 1918).
Major Cole received a Distinguished Service Cross for heroism during the Battle of Belleau Wood (June 10 1918) in which he was mortally wounded
