Postmarks

Other Information

USS PEPPERWOOD earned the American Campaign Medal, the Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign Medal w/ 1 Battle star and the World War II Victory Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Pepperwood, wood of the pepper trees, a tree with loosely-hanging branches, clusters of yellow flowers, and reddish berries.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. It. E. McShane.
