Naval Covers

Other Information

USS ROANOKE earned the World War II Occupation Medal w/Europe Clasp and the National Defense Service Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Named for the city of Roanoke Virginia.

The ships sponsor was Miss Julia Ann Henebry, daughter of Leo P. Henebry, former mayor of Roanoke Va.
