Other Information

USS ENRIGHT earned the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 1 Battle star, the Europe-Africa-Middle East Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ Asia clasp and the Philippines Liberation Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Lieutenant (j.g.) Robert Paul Francis Enright, USNR (28 September 1916 - 6 June 1942)
         Enright enlisted in the Naval Reserve July 20 1940, and was commissioned Ensign March 14 1941. He was killed in action when his ship USS Hammann DD-412 was sunk 6 June 1942 in the Battle of Midway.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Katherine L. Enright, mother of Lieutenant (j.g.) Enright.
