Naval Covers

Other Information

USS CONCORD earned the American Defense Service Medal w/ Fleet Clasp, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ one campaign star, the World War II Victory Medal and the Navy Occupation Medal w/ Japan Clasp during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Named for the town of Concord, Massachusetts, scene of the first conflict between the Americans and British troops in the American Revolution, on 19 April 1775.

The ships sponsor was Miss H. Butterick.
