Naval Covers

The cover used is a Covercraft FDC but the FDOI was February 11 1947 so this is not a FDC.

 

Other Information

USS PITT earned the China Service Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (w/ 1 Battle star), the World War II Victory Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (w/ Asia clasp) during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A county in North Carolina.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Gwin Fallis.
