John (Jack) G. Hawks - John Hawks (1873-1940) was a native Californian, an army veteran who served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. He later worked as a screenwriter during the silent movie era of Hollywood before retiring in 1930. *Thanks to Lloyd Ferrell for this historical information.

Cachets should be listed in chronological order based on earliest known usage. Use the postmark date or best guess. This applies to add-on cachets as well.
