Ship Name and Designation History

This section lists the names and designations that the ship had during its lifetime. The list is in chronological order.

Naval Covers

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. NAMESAKE - Admiral John Lorimer Worden, USN (12 March 1818 – 19 October 1897)
Worden was an Officer in the United States Navy who served in the American Civil War.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. Katrina Halligan, wife of Admiral Halligan, Commandant, 13th Naval District.
