Other Information

USS SEAWOLF earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Battle “E" Ribbon as of 2021.

NAMESAKE - A solitary fish with strong, prominent teeth and projecting tusks that give it a savage look.

Four submarines of the US Navy have borne the name SEAWOLF - USS Seawolf (renamed H-1) SS-28, USS Seawolf SS-197, USS Seawolf SSN-575 and USS Seawolf SSN-21.

The ships sponsor is Mrs. Margaret Dalton, wife of Secretary of the Navy, John H. Dalton.
