This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the ship. USS PORTSMOUTH earned the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal during her Naval career.
NAMESAKE - The city of Portsmouth, NH
The ships sponsor was Helen Poe Goodrich.
Four ships of the US Navy have borne the name PORTSMOUTH - USS Portsmouth (1798 24-gun ship), USS Portsmouth (1843 Sloop-of-War), USS Portsmouth CL-102 and USS Portsmouth SSN-707.
