A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

USS HENRY COUNTY/LST-824 earned the Combat Action Ribbon (2 awards), the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (w/ 1 Battle star), the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (with Asia clasp), the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal (w/ 4 Campaign stars), the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation Ribbon (3 awards) and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - Counties in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.

There has been two ships of the US Navy named HENRY COUNTY - USS HENRY COUNTY IX-34 and USS HENRY COUNTY LST-824.
