Signed by John Ferman Crutchfield, RM1c (Service Number 346 6773) started his service aboard the USS MARLIN (SS-205) 01-AUG-1941, which was commissioning date of that boat. In September 1943 Crutchfield's rank changed to CRM (AA) aboard the same sub.
