They made up for their slower speed and lack of maneuverability with better accommodations for the crew so that they could stay at sea for longer periods and work well off-shore. They were all built by Defoe Boat & Motor Works of Bay City, Michigan.<br/>
			The PATRIOT was stationed at Stapleton, New York initially before being transferred to Fernandina, Florida in 1927. She served out of Cleveland, Ohio, as of 1933 and was placed out of service in 1938.

This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the
ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for
