This section lists active links to the pages displaying covers associated with the
ship. There should be a separate set of pages for each name of the ship (for
example, Bushnell AG-32 / Sumner AGS-5 are different names for the same
ship so there should be one set of pages for Bushnell and one set for Sumner).
Covers should be presented in chronological order (or as best as can be determined).

Since a ship may have many covers, they may be split among many pages so it doesn't
take forever for the pages to load. Each page link should be accompanied by a date
range for covers on that page.

<h3>Postmarks</h3>
This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a
separate set of postmarks for each name and/or commissioning period. Within each set,
the postmarks should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one
postmark has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of
earliest known usage.

A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

'''NAMESAKE''' - Ensign Eugene Thomas Sanders, USN (March 15 1889 - December 7 1941)<br/>    Sanders was born on 15 March 15 1899 in Hubbard, Oregon. Enlisted in the Army on June 16 1917, he was discharged on February 13 1919. On September 18 1919, he enlisted in the Navy and subsequently served on [[BRANT_ARS_32_ | USS Brant AM 24]] December 4 1932 to June 1 1934; on [[FINCH_AM_9_ | USS Finch AM 9]] August 30 1934 to January 28 1936; at the naval station at Olongapo, Luzon, Philippine Islands, January 29 1936 to April 3 1937; and on [[CANOPUS_AS_9_ | USS Canopus AS 9]] April 6 1937 to March 10 1938.<br/>    
On May 7 1940, Chief Boatswain Sanders reported to [[ARIZONA_BB_39_ | USS ARIZONA BB 39]]. Appointed Ensign on November 3 1941, he died on USS Arizona during the Japanese attack on [[Pearl Harbor Heroes|Pearl Harbor]] while serving on [[ARIZONA BB 39|USS ARIZONA BB-39]] December 7 1941.<br/><br/>
Two ships of the US Navy have been named SANDERS - [[SANDERS_DE_40_ |USS Sanders DE 40]] and USS SANDERS DE 273 (later HMS Grindall K.477).
