MONTEREY earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (w/ 11 Battle stars), the World War II Victory Medal, the Navy Occupation Service Medal (w/ "Asia" clasp), the National Defense Service Medal, the Philippine Presidential Unit Citation and two (2) Philippine Liberation Medals during her Naval career.<br/><br/>
