<h3>Other Information</h3>
'''NAMESAKE''' - Werner Mölders (18 March 1913 - 22 November 1941)<br/>        Mölders was a German Luftwaffe World War II fighter ace. He was credited with 101 victories in WWII as well as 14 victories in the Spanish civil war. He rose quickly through the ranks, and was given command of a Geschwader (Fighter Wing) at age 27, and promoted to Oberst (Colonel) and appointed Inspector General of Fighters at age 28. Mölders was a devoutly religious individual who demanded that all Allied aviators captured by those under his command be treated civilly and often would invite captured pilots to dine with him. On November 22, 1941 he was flying as a passenger in a He-111 from the Crimea to Germany to attend the funeral of his superior and friend, Ernst Udet. Attempting to land at Breslau during a thunderstorm, the aircraft crashed. Mölders and the pilot were killed.<br/><br/>
The ships sponsor was his mother, Anne-Marie Mölders.
