be presented in chronological order (or as best as can be determined).

<h3>Postmarks</h3>
This section lists examples of the postmarks used by the ship. There should be a
separate set of postmarks for each incarnation of the ship (ie, for each entry
in the "Ship Name and Designation History" section). Within each set, the postmarks
should be listed in order of their classification type. If more than one postmark
has the same classification, then they should be further sorted by date of earliest
known usage.

A postmark should not be included unless accompanied by a close-up image and/or an
image of a cover showing that postmark. Date ranges MUST be based ONLY ON COVERS IN
THE MUSEUM and are expected to change as more covers are added.

'''HMS BLIGH''' participated in the following actions: HMS Bligh served exclusively with the 5th Escort Group taking part in operations in the Eastern Atlantic, the English Channel, and off Normandy. On the May 6, 1944, Bligh, together with HMS Bickerton, HMS Aylmer and two Swordfish aircraft (Sqdn. 825) of the British escort carrier HMS Vindex, attacked and sank the submarine U-765 at position 52°30′N 28°28′W / 52.5, -28.467 using depth charges, resulting in the loss of 37 hands. On the November 7, 1944, an accidental firing of an anti-aircraft gun while docked at Liverpool caused both death and injury on the troopship RMS Capetown Castle. On the January 27, 1945, Bligh, along with HMS Tyler and HMS Keats attacked and destroyed the submarine U-1172 with depth charges, causing the loss of all 52 hands at position 52°24′N 05°42′W / 52.4, -5.7.<br/><br/>

The citation continued: “During vigorous attacks by our force on the Japanese-held village of Matanikao, Liddle, with cool courage and utter disregard for his own personal safety continuously exposed himself to hostile machinegun and rifle fire in order to administer to his wounded comrades. He gallantly gave up his life in the service of his country.”
