Message erased by censor. Real-photo postcard of the USS Washington ACR-11 at Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. On this date, USS MACHIAS PG-5 relieved USS WASHINGTON on station at Puerto Plata,
protecting the rebel-held town and its infrastructure from bombardment by government forces.
