Other Information

NAMESAKE - Gunnery Sergeant Robert Howard McCard, USMC (November 25 1918 – June 16 1944)
GySgt. McCard was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the Battle of Saipan during World War II.
GySgt. McCard was serving as Platoon Sergeant of Company A, Fourth Tank Battalion, Fourth Marine Division at the time of his death.
