Covers should be listed in chronological order. Use the postmark date or best guess. This applies to covers with add-on cachets as well.

CD-6 series -- "SMALL LETTERS" POSTMARKS (1978-80)
A set of postmarks, similar to the standard Type 2-1 and Type 9-1, but distinctively different. The letter-class postmark is smaller than other standard issue cancels and has much smaller lettering. The all-purpose "type 9 substitute" is slightly larger than a normal Type 9, and is almost as large as the dial of the letter-class postmark. The similarity in the lettering proves it to be a companion to it. Both postmarks were issued with a set of date slugs of a similar style and size of lettering, but standard date slugs from other postmarks were often used in them.
Issued regularly to more than a dozen newly commissioned ships from the fall of 1978 into 1980, when it disappeared from the new issue supply line. These postmarks were almost certainly issued through normal government channels, and qualify as Type F's under the "not otherwise classifiable" clause, there not being enough usages to justify a new major Locy type number.
