Naval Covers

Other Information

USS BUCKINGHAM earned the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal w/ Asia clasp during her Naval career.

NAMESAKE - A county in central Virginia formed in 1761 and named for Buckinghamshire, England.

The ships sponsor was Mrs. S. J. Dickey.
