Variant k

Variant k applies to Type 5 cancels and indicates that there are no dashes at the bottom of the dial.

The following cancel is classified as Type 5hks

The following cancel is classified as Type 5s

The above example is provided to show the dashes normally found at the bottom of a Type 5 cancel in comparison to the k variant.
